Most knife stands and blocks work by simply inserting the knife inside. This approach has two major downsides: the blades get dull, and it is not immediately clear which knife size is hidden inside, making it harder to find the right one. Thanks to the well-thought-out magnetic system, the knives stay securely on the stand, are fully visible, and can truly stand out in all their beauty.

The trick
The secret behind our system, which holds steel knives securely on the wooden surface, lies in a cleverly arranged network of magnets inside the stand. Specifically, these are neodymium magnets – an alloy of neodymium, iron, and boron. A neodymium magnet inside the stand can hold up to a thousand times its own weight. That is even more than the famous strongman of the insect world – the ant – which can carry “only” fifty times its own weight.

The stand is glued from two identical wooden parts. Inside, a network of drilled holes houses the magnets, which are fixed at the bottom. This creates a true magnetic grid that ensures knives of all sizes – even very large ones – stay securely in place. The system does not work with ceramic knives.

Packaging
In our workshop, we use solar energy – but that is just the beginning. To ensure our products arrive in perfect condition, we use recycled gift-wrapping paper, and the boxes we ship our products in are made in a sheltered workshop. We believe that a quality product alone is not enough – you have to go further.
